Imagine that youre in the heat of the (ENG) battle, the president is about to land and your various 16 or more batteries start to die. You consider changing batteries -- unpacking, unwrapping, dismantling your rig, checking polarity, reassembling your rig -- you decide to chance it -- you sweat. Wouldn't it be nicer to simply slide in a single rechargeable battery in the morning and then forget about it?

Thats why Remote Audio Products developed the BDS power system. The BDS was designed, built, field tested and refined with valuable input from professional field engineers. Perfect for ENG audio bag rigs and even sound carts, the BDS allows your entire rig (up to six devices) to be powered from a single battery.

The heart of the system is the distribution box. Using chassis mounted hardware for strength and circuit board assembly for quality control, the compact unit is configured with

	Recessed master toggle switch
	LED power ON indicator
	Power input connector: 4 Pin mini XLR
	Internal 6 amp auto-resetting circuit breaker
	Locking connectors
	Six output connections
	Input #1 selectable switched or unswitched

The first output connector can be specified switched or unswitched, enabling the BDS to switch off everything except, for example, the mixer. This option is easily reversed with internal jumpers.

Detachable, rugged power cables safely connect industry standard audio equipment to a single power source such as the rechargeable NP-1 battery. Regulated 9V battery eliminators also interface the BDS system to equipment that lacks a 12V input.

Remote Audio's BDS has been a real hit. This system is now the choice of many major news crews. The ability to run an entire ENG rig from a single power source (such as an NP-1 battery) has many location audio professionals wondering how they got along without it. Many of our clients have also found the BDS an enhancement to their carts when working feature films and commercials.
